The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Volodymyr Rybak stresses on the necessity of timely adoption of the State Budget and increasing the share of local budgets in the Sate Budget. This was stated by the Chairman of Parliament while answering questions of journalists during working visit to Crimea on Thursday, where the meeting of representatives of the Association of Ukrainian Cities and bodies of local self-government took place. Representatives of central bodies of executive power also participated in the event.
“The Budget should be timely adopted and executed automatically, and then everybody will receive costs and develop regularly,” Volodymyr Rybak said. Thereat, he noted that Parliament and bodies of local self-government “should specify direction on behalf of voters: how the budget should be formed and executed and how to increase the share of local budgets in the State Budget.”
Volodymyr Rybak reminded that the President of Ukraine set a task to direct significant financial resources to regions in order to solve issues of social-economic development. “Therefore, representatives of the Association of Ukrainian Cities gathered today to develop projects for directing costs properly and creating new working places,” the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada said. He noted that the proposals and positions of participants of today’s meeting will be taken into consideration while considering all the mentioned issues, particularly, those concerning budget and financial provision of regions.
Answering specifying questions regarding the situation in Parliament, Volodymyr Rybak noted that “blocking the work of the Verkhovna Rada is not for the good of Parliament.” “I want deputies to hear each other through compromises and start working, as blocking takes time,” Volodymyr Rybak said
